Fat Metabolism Energy
When your body is not tied up with the process of dealing with elevated blood sugar levels they remain lowered and even, this allows our system to utilize fat as the primary source of fuel, its known as fat metabolism and its how our physiology was designed to create energy.
Think about it, bread and pasta weren’t really that abundant a few thousand years ago yet we managed to keep alive off of a mainly meat and fat diet.
As time goes by though, through years of excessive carbohydrate consumption, our bodies rely more and more on using glucose as our fuel, this results in increased fat stores since very little of it is getting utilized for energy.
OK so, what have we just established with that first part? That by a making up the predominant part of your diet from a regular intake of sugar and carbohydrate, your body will be continuously converting the unneeded glucose into glycogen and fat.
This fat will be getting stored in your fat cells, and with our modern day approach to eating we never go long enough nor eat foods low enough in carbohydrate and sugar for our body to ever need those fat reserves, so guess what? They just keep getting bigger.
I don’t think I need to explain the consequences of enlarged fat cells, I reckon you can work that one out. I’ll give you a hint though….a change in wardrobe sizes.
IN A NUTSHELL: too much sugar and carbohydrates in your diet = increased fats stores.
